We hope you can find it in your heart to join us as we launch our mid-year fundraising campaign.
Our goal is $20,000.00. It only takes 200 people to raise $100.00 to get there! Here are three ways you can help raise funds for our Theatre.

1. Create your own personal Facebook fundraiser:
For our Facebook friends, you can create a fundraiser asking your friends to support our Theatre. It makes it easy for them to donate and it's easy for you!  It just takes a minute. For every $100.00 you raise your name will be entered for a drawing for a fabulous prize. The contest runs June 1st through the 30th. Drawings for prizes will be July 5th.
You will be eligible to win a Cambria Get Away with a 2-night stay at Moonstone Cellars suite and dinner for two at the Sea Chest Restaurant. Plus Mark Herrier will be your personal guide for a Cambria Winery tour. Other prizes include a case of Montmar Wine or four tickets to the Sta. Rita Hills Wine Alliance's annual  Wine and Fire event, all valued over $400.00.

Just follow these easy instructions to set up your personal fundraiser.

2. If you are not a Facebook user you can be eligible for prizes by submitting your donations directly to the Lompoc Theatre Project and indicating that they are part of the Facebook contest. Your name will then go into the drawing.

Case Statement

Since 1927, the Lompoc Theatre has stood as the heart of the Lompoc community and has served the broader region.  As the theater has lain dormant for years, the economic vitality of downtown Lompoc has faltered as well.  Other communities throughout California and the country have restored their downtown theaters and seen tremendous revitalization in their surrounding areas.

We, the Lompoc Theatre Project Corporation, are raising $5 million to restore and reopen the theater in order to provide our community with the center of arts, culture, and entertainment it desperately needs.

As part of the restoration process, we plan to update to state-of-the-art theater and movie projection equipment, move and restore the land use office, and rehabilitate the current office and retail space as a valuable income generator.

This project will have a tremendous impact on Lompoc, as well as the broader region, in providing access to arts and entertainment for all interests right on California’s Highway 1.

COMMUNITY IMPACT:

Local arts organizations will be able to utilize the Lompoc Theatre free of charge. Wouldn’t it be a thrill to see the name of your group up on this marquee?

  • Act as a multi-use venue for artists, performers and audiences in Lompoc and throughout the northern part of Santa Barbara County.

  • Encourage the development of, and collaboration between, community arts, educational, civic and cultural organizations.

  • Provide a performance home for established local arts organizations by offering the theater at no cost.

  • Enhance Lompoc’s historic core as a cultural center, generating economic benefits for the immediate downtown area as well as the broader community.

  • Allow persons of all ages, cultures and economic backgrounds to explore their creative and artistic possibilities.

  • One definitive aspect of thriving communities is a strong arts presence. Without the restoration of the Lompoc Theatre, our community cannot reach its full potential.

All of us at the Lompoc Theatre Project bring our expertise to this effort, from publicity to volunteer management, from accounting to fundraising, and from artist management to visual design.  Together with our donors and our community, we will save the theater and revitalize our downtown area.
