THAT’S A WRAP for the Lompoc Show & Shine Car Show!

A message from our Show & Shine Event Chair, Jake Brown:

The first Lompoc Show & Shine Car Show brought together an impressive mix of lowriders, classics, and custom builds at the Village Inn this past Sunday. More than 50 cars filled the lot, with individual and car club participants from all around the county and beyond. We saw a steady crowd from start to finish, with families, car owners, and community members enjoying the day.

Lowrider culture has deep roots in our area, and it was meaningful to see so many people come out to celebrate that history. This event was created as a free community gathering, and the turnout showed how much pride and connection exists here in Lompoc.

The event raised $2,000 dollars for the Lompoc Theatre Project’s efforts to restore and reopen the historic theatre. We also raised $1,000 dollars to support Dave Jaskolski in his fight against cancer. Emcee and Brown Sensations Car Club President Robert Gonzales and his team of DJ's kept the energy going, and our vendors, including Sweet Creations, Kitschy Klutches, DnY Custom Creations, and Valley Autoglass added a lot to the atmosphere.

There were many standout cars, but my personal favorite was a silver 1965 Chevy Impala. Best in Show went to Jose Nevarez for his blue 1966 Impala, which drew a lot of attention and admiration. This event was about more than cars. It was about the community showing up for one another.

We are grateful to everyone who participated, supported, and helped make the first Show & Shine a success. We look forward to building on this momentum in the future.

Entry Fees:

• Cars: $35 each - with online registration

• Registration at the Gate: $45

Please Note:

• All vehicles must be in their show space by 10:45 AM. Late entries may not be eligible for judging.

• One entry per registration fee. No refunds after registration is completed.

• Participants must display their issued entry number on their vehicle at all times.

• All vehicles must be street-legal or trailered in. Non-running display vehicles must be noted at registration.

• Hydraulics and air-bag demonstrations (if allowed) are permitted only in designated areas, not in the main show field.

ABOUT The LOMPOC SHOW & SHINE LOWRIDER CAR SHOW

Lowrider culture has long been a symbol of artistry, family, and community. It represents craftsmanship, tradition, and the pride of generations. By centering this year’s show around lowriders, we aim to celebrate the cultural roots that have shaped our region while bringing together car enthusiasts, families, and local residents for a vibrant and meaningful event.

The car show will take place on September 13th at The Village Inn in Lompoc, California, featuring classic lowriders, custom builds, live entertainment, food vendors, raffles, a silent auction, and activities for all ages. All proceeds will directly support the ongoing restoration of the historic Lompoc Theatre, helping return this beloved landmark to its role as a cultural hub for our community.
