Phase I - Complete!

Formed in 2012, the Lompoc Theatre Project was a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization dedicated to taking an old dilapidated 1927 movie theatre and transforming it into a working cultural and performing arts center.

After taking ownership of the theater, professionals were hired to test and assess the condition of the building to determine what needs to be done, and in what order. The news was not good.

Phase II - Funding now

Phase II includes the completion of critical structural and interior upgrades necessary to enable us to host live performances on the Lompoc Theatre stage for the first time in more than 50 years.

It will also enable outdoor events and fundraisers to occur at the Lompoc Theatre property, literally setting the stage for the long awaited and permanent reopening of the historic Lompoc Theatre.

phase III - THINKING FORWARD

Aimed for completion in time to celebrate the centennial anniversary of our beloved theatre, Phase III will see extensive interior and exterior renovations that will allow Lompoc Theatre to be open at full capacity.

With an estimated cost of $10 million, this phase will make a reality the dreams of a committed group of volunteers who wanted to bring the gift of arts and culture to our community.
