Community members Raise Funds on our behalf

Fans of our project came forward in 2019 organizing fundraisers and donating the proceeds to our non-profit. Volunteer’s donations accounted for several thousand dollars from our local community.

• Anna Domingos organized Get your Irish On in support of Dance Lompoc.

• Don Fletcher had over 20 soup chefts and held a silent auction and soup tasting event.

• The Lompoc Civic Theatre dedicated a performance of two of their productions with the proceeds to benefit the Lompoc Theatre Project.

• Cosmoton Academy donated money from their cut-a-thon in support of our group.

• Local vintners Steve and Caryn Arrowood of Montemar Wines, donated 100% of sales of one of their wines to our non-profit.

• Local radio station KTNK owner Mike Day, spearheaded Honky Tonk Christmas, a country concert featuring local musicians.

Lompoc Theatre Project Receives Econmic Vitality Award

In January 2019, The Lompoc Theatre project receives the Economic Vitality Award from the City of Lompoc. After receiving ownership in January 2016 the group continues to make progress towards the restoration of downtown’s historic theatre.

Lompoc Theatre Project Takes The Stage at Dance Lompoc

The Lompoc Theatre Project proved to be a winner at Dance Lompoc’s annual event when dancer Jeremy Ball took home the prize in March 2020! Several events hosted by community members helped add to the coffers for most funds raised by a non-profit participating in the annual Lompoc Chamber of Commerce event.

In 2018 local business owner Stacy Lowthorp also took home the biggest check for the LTP.

Wedding at the Theatre!

Libby and Matt were married on the stage on January 19, 2019. It is the first wedding in the theatre in 91 years! It was a beautiful event with 190 guests attending. Flawless and stunning, the event will be remembered for years to come.

Christmas Tours after Parade

On December 7, 2018 the Lompoc Theatre Project opened the doors for parade goers. Before and after the annual parade, hundreds of families wandered through the historic building and saw the progress we are making. Eggnog and snacks were enjoyed by all. We even showed White Christmas on the movie screen!

#GIVING TUESDAY Success! - November 27

Giving Tuesday is a national campaign to raise money for great causes. Participating for the first time, we aimed high. Although we did not raise quite enough to replace the roof over our office spaces, we did raise nearly $4000 from online giving and the thank you event we held at the theatre on Novemeber 27. Thanks everyone!
