This year, high school freshman Alina Villegas Trejo took home first place with her salsa and samba solo, 17-year-old Landon Gaspar placed second with his lyrical dance solo, and seventh-graders Emily Naranjo-Magaña and Natalie Salas placed third for their fiery flamenco duo.

The Lompoc Theatre Project is closing in on a $3 million dollar Phase II fundraising goal that will help make the dream of restoring the town's 97-year-old performing arts theater a reality.

"Thanks to the unbelievable response from our supporters, we met the challenge presented to us by the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians and matched their $150,000 grant officially announced last June. In fact, we raised over $200,000!”
