Historic 1927 Landmark Takes Major Step Toward 2027 Centennial Reopening

May 5, 2025

Last Friday, state and local officials, community members and longtime supporters of Lompoc Theatre Project gathered in the theater parking lot to officially break ground on the facility’s Phase II renovations. This critical phase marks a pivotal moment in transforming the long-dormant landmark into a vibrant arts center for the Lompoc Valley.

The idea of restoring the theatre has been a dream for many since the early 2000s, and has only gained momentum since the original founding members established Lompoc Theatre Project on September 2, 2012. Twelve years and eight months later, that vision is starting to take shape.
